![]() My friend and I also decided to make a commander league that had to have decks at or under $25, which got me really interested in brewing budget decks. Those decks might indeed be cheaper than their more competitive counterparts, but they are in no way budget. It comes down to the fact that I was tired of seeing people posting their "budget" decks on other subs or on other forums only to find out they were actually $100, $200, or even $300+. However they likely will be easy to upgrade if you do wish to spend a little extra money. Decks here probably won't be anything close to top tier, as they are only $50 or $25. The beauty is that if you want to up the power level of the deck and play a Brostorm build, you can easily swap some fatties with combo pieces for relatively cheap and she becomes a combo deck rather than a turbo stompy deck. The goal of this sub is to provide players with actually budget edh decks that they can use for casual games. Hell, last night I won by activating ] to biorhythm the board and trample in for lethal. Craterhoof, Genesis Wave, Overwhelming creature beats, Triumph of the Hordes, etc. It's still very easy to win a number of different ways. Turn 1 dork, Turn 2 Selvala, Turn 3 ramp out something ridiculous, Turn 4 start to abuse creature power based card draw effects or tutors to find an untapper or more big threats and then you are off to the races. She's still an absolute beast and one of the fastest decks I own. I built her to be non-infinite since my playgroup doesn't like infinite combos all that much. Even if you don't go infinite with her, she still enables you to ramp out ridiculous things super fast. What is there to not see? She's a mega-mana dork with a dash of card draw. ![]() But I see no real reason to play selvala if you dont want to run infinite with her
